idonotwantkids.com is like a world to me. I have not found a match yet on this website (I am here from 5 years) but I feel if I cannot find him here, I cannot find him anywhere. :)

I have already been sterilized and cannot have children. Your questions don't have that as an option for a response. For example, the question about what would you do if you got pregnant... Well, I can't get pregnant and none of your choices indicate that. I had to select the abortion option which I don't support.

IdoNOTwantKids reply: You raise an excellent point! As such, I have immediately revised the IdoNOTwantKids.com website and included the following additional option:

I am sterile and/or cannot get pregnant

PS: I also have a comment section at the end of each section for people to add additional information if they so desire... since I recognize it is impossible for me to foresee all the possible circumstances.

Thanks again very much for your feedback. I revised the website accordingly thanks to you. :)

Hey, is there a way to prevent the "blah blah sent you a message" emails????.... I'd rather check the site at my convenience and not have messages saying I have messages sent to my email. New to the site can't seem to find a mail preference section!
Other than that I think this site is marvelous!

IdoNOTwantKids reply: If you don't want to receive notifications when somebody tries to contact you, I suppose you can just use a bogus email address.

However, be advised, that the messages are automatically deleted on the system if you don't read them within 30 days.

I do NOT like or appreciate the evil baby logo you have for the IdoNOTwantKids website. I find it offensive and in bad taste. You make it seem like I hate babies or that I believe babies are evil. That is NOT the case. I love babies. I simply prefer not to have any kids of my own. Please change your logo to something else.

IdoNOTwantKids reply: Interestingly, I continue to receive criticism about my infamous IdoNOTwantKids evil baby logo. I fully recognize that the logo could perhaps give the erroneous impression that I do not like kids or that I believe kids are evil. That is not the case. I created the logo because I simply thought it conveyed a message very easily and instantly with my unique sense of HUMOR: I do not want kids.
The bigger issue is, as I have asked my critics many times over and over and over, if I were to create a different logo for the site, what logo would it be? What kind of logo could I possibly create that will convey the same message so instantaneously? In fact, secretly, I actually hired two different graphic artists to create a new logo for the site. Admittedly, I only paid them a few pennies but I was very curious to see if they could come up with a better idea since none of my critics volunteered. Unfortunately, both of the graphic artists that I hired did a horrific job. I mean, it looked like they did it on an old Atari computer. Plus, they basically duplicated my identical concept and put a baby in the center with a line through it. Worse yet, I ended up doing a reverse search for both of their creations. And guess what. Both of them used clipart of prior babies which is precisely what I told them not to do. I specifically told them to create a new logo with a new concept and both of them totally ignored it and basically committed plagiarism of my idea and other people's clipart.
Therefore, my challenge continues to exist: If somebody can create a better logo, I would absolutely sincerely love to see it. I say this not out of cynicism. I say it because I am admittedly a novice on the computer. In truth, I am a full-time practicing attorney. Computers are merely a hobby. I'm still not sure how I got the website to work or how I ended up creating the graphics which I consider pretty good. Perhaps not the best, but pretty good.
Therefore, in your travels, please do respectfully convey my challenge: if somebody can create a better logo than the one I have of the evil baby, I would absolutely sincerely love to see it. I myself simply cannot figure out how to convey a message of IdoNOTwantKids any other way.

PS: Sure... I may receive offers of people to create a new logo but those same people want to be paid -- and understandably so. They should not work for free. Unfortunately, there is no money to be spent on a different logo. This site is 100% free. It actually costs me money just to run it. Therefore, I can't see the sense in me spending more of my own money just to create a new logo to try and appease the critics. In fact, I previously created several other graphics/logos for the site (with a totally different concept) and I received similar criticism. Therefore, my offer stands. If somebody can voluntarily create a better logo, please do so but at least now you understand the predicament. :)

I appreciate that not everyone is the same and not all identify with childfreedom...but as childfree person, I just want to respond to the previous posts that criticize the significance of childfree sites.

Childfree people are a minority. All minorities must struggle in order to make their voices heard, as it always has been. What makes the breeders most angry is that this a chosen lifestyle---not like a person's color, gender, and sorry homophobes, or sexuality.

In a way it isn't a conscious decision, because the childfree do have personalities that strongly conflict with parenting. I constantly see parents with dead looking eyes staring into space and reminiscing about the days before the diapers and sticky candy hands and shitty crayon drawings on the wall. They are parental non-parents who had kids to make others happy. They were too afraid of familial and societal criticism, and we're too lazy to carefully select a childfree partner.

Thanks for creating this site, Chris! Because there are so few people who are single and childless, it will be difficult for me to find people for recommendations. But I applaud you for creating this web site. There are only two married couples I know who decided BEFORE they got married that they want kids, and I support them 100%.They are outcasts to the other coworkers. One fellow I talked to who had no children advised me not to follow everyone else, and was considered mean spirited. I also commend you on your NO BULLSHIT policy, too. So many people on other dating sites have said they "don't want kids", but have no less than the Brady Bunch already. Of course they "don't want kids"!!! What they mean is that they want you to get involved with them and help them take care of them. You can see my frustration with this, and lack of support from other people, even family members. So I can truly appreciate your efforts in building this site. Not worried about quantity. There are zillions of candidates on Match.com, eHarmony, and other dating sites. To me, there is NOTHING there I want. Thanks so much!
Angela

While I do like the site and am hopeful of finding the right child-free mate--I am probably not alone in pondering the successful relationships formed on IDNWK--is it possible to include an Alumni gallery of sorts for those who found love on the site?

IdoNOTwantKids reply: That is a neat idea. I have, in fact, been contacted several times by couples thanking me because they met their spouse via www.IdoNOTwantKids.com. However, very few ever provided many details... so there unfortunately isn't much info available I have to build upon the concept. :!cry:

But hey, as we all know, the one thing www.IdoNOTwantKids.com needs is a LOT more users. Therefore, hopefully as this site membership grows, we'll have a lot more couples meeting where I can eventually implement you idea. :)

Dear Mr. Christopher M. Puzzele, Esq. aka IdoNOTwantKids,

I just wanted to say thank you very much for creating this site. While I just joined today and have no idea what the outcome may be, I really enjoyed the straightforward and specialized approach. Also, as a fellow person-who-does-not-want-kids, I'm sure you are often frustrated by the dating world and by others simply not "getting it". Therefore, I want you to know that this made me feel A LOT better...

Thanks for the temporary escape from the criticisms of the "real world".

Your New Friend Who Never Wants Kids,
