Message:
You want what you want AND what you want isn't terribly common. These two things are likely to put you in the exact position you've specified.
I get plenty of men who hit on me based on my looks (despite the fact I'm what's commonly referred to as a BBW), but I rarely find anyone who is a good fit overall. I become a pariah the minute I suggest I don't like kids, don't want kids, and am really okay with the fact I've had the option surgically removed (as a result of cancer.)
So, the question is -- do you compromise who you are and what you want? Or do you accept that you have to be happy with your own life and learn to be okay with the fact you may always be alone? Personally, I choose the latter. I have a good life overall and, while I'd like to have someone special with whom to share it, I'd by far prefer to be alone than with the wrong person.
Whining about the unavailability of good matches does nothing for you except make you bitter. You've made your choices. Live with them.
