I personally would never get married for many reason...expensive, unnecessary, turns a romantic relationship into a contracted one. And if I HAD to get married, I would want something small and easy, like eloping to Vegas, whereas my BF wants a big traditional wedding. And yeah, the divorce rate is very high, which means that marriage fails more often than it works and then you have to pay to end the damn thing.

Honestly, if you like what you've got, why ruin it? If need be, maybe still pick out rings to symbolize your relationship. Honestly, and this might sound cheesy, I'd like my BF and I someday to get matching tattoos...nothing with names, but something neither girly or manly that we could both get done.

I'd also have to say make sure your woman does not want kids. Some women are cunts and they wait until they've got a ring on their finger to let you know that, oopsie, they actually wanted kids and they just fibbed to you because they thought you'd change your mind. Good way to find this out is to say you're going to get the snip...even if you aren't, her reaction will let you know how CF she really is.
