I think thoughtless generalizations (like, for example, "women have killed romance") may be what has really "killed romance".
Combined, of course, with the mass media's commodification of the idea of romance (in which both genders are probably guilty).
But how do you mean "women have killed romance"? Do you mean women who want kids have killed it? (And of course, the idea of 'romance' is totally personal & subjective as well.)
Anyhow, there's not much point complaining and blaming "all women". Women who don't want kids have an equally difficult time.
