I totally agree! I had my tubes tied at 36 and my only regret was not having had it done earlier. I was so excited about it (and about the fact that insurance was picking up the tab) I told people why I was taking 3-4 days off (never have been able to keep my mouth shut, ha ha). There were people who got tears in their eyes. . .oh, PUH-LEEEEEZE! Such melodrama. My doctor was cool - he didn't grill me much at all or send me to a shrink. I recommend it highly.
